Summer Student Biotech Intern:

Hawaii Chitopure is developing new biomaterials for tissue engineering and pharmaceutical applications. More technical information can be found at www.chitopure.com.

The responsibilities of the position will include but are not limited to:
• Conduct antimicrobial testing utilizing SOPs
• Routine analysis of bioassays
• Regular communication with mentor--formal weekly written and oral reporting
• Hours ranging in average of 15-20 hours/week. Total Hours will not exceed 80 hours/month.

Instrumental experience must include (not limited to):
• Sterile analytical techniques for routine bioassays
• Pipetting

Job requirements:
• Junior or Senior BS major in Molecular Biology, Microbiology, Biotechnology, Analytical Chemistry, Biochemistry
• Ability to carry out precise analytical techniques reliably and reproducibly
• Research lab experience preferred but not required
• Excellent written, oral communication, and time management skills required
